It’s difficult to describe all the commotion of last Sunday night. The great concert and laser shows have broken all attendance records. Looking down packed Waly Chrobrego, you could see a wavy sea of heads. The harbours and Trasa Zamkowa were totally filled with people. You wouldn’t have been able to get close to the main stage. The giant crowd went wild at the music of Kate Ryan, Stachursky’, and Bodie Without Organ. The audience had a chance to witness sort of a soloists’ contest: their favourite Doda, of Poland, occurred to be as accomplished singer as Melanie C. All the country could feel the unusual atmosphere of that night thanks to nationwide broadcast.
A laser show put the end to last Sunday night. Colourful light dancing over water and ships’ rigging was incredibly impressive. However, the best was yet to come. At 24.00 sharp, fireworks flew to the sky. The crowd seemed to be hypnotised by refined combinations of explosions, flashes and flames. All the sky was glittering with red, blue and golden rain of stars falling from above. Such displays don’t happen very often.
