Today, on the main stage at Waly Chrobrego, the official opening ceremony of the Rally will take place. The spectators will see a parade of colours, listen to a concert of Army Orchestra and siren signals from all the ships moored to the wharfs. 6000 colourful balloons will go to the air. 5.00 p.m. is the grand hour. Jana z Kolna Str., Waly Chrobrego, and Lasztownia, which are already crowded with people, will be definitely packed. Closed for the public will be greeting of the crews at the Maritime Museum.
Most Polish vessels have already moored to the wharfs, as well as some of the tallest ones. In the afternoon two Russian giants, Kruzenshtern and Sedov, are expected. All the ships are open to the public, so everyone can see the secrets hidden below the decks. Expo-Nautica Fair sounds interesting. Everything that has to do with sport, entertainment or work is at your disposal there.
From noon on, Lasztownia and Starówka Harbour will be vibrating with shanty music. Top shanty singers are there just for you. That’s not all. Arka Noego band plays at 6.00 p.m.
Andrzej Piaseczny, The Commodores and Buena Vista Social Club are the stars of Gala Concert, which starts at 8.00 p.m. on the main stage.
